Advanced Other Transactions Workshop

April 24 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

$595

Other transactions have been available to the Department of Defense since the 1990’s, but have only recently surged in popularity. As professionals embrace this new found authority, there are many unanswered questions. Chief among them is: “Are other transactions just ‘contract-lite’ or is there more to this seeming fad?” This seminar will fill in knowledge gaps at the policy level for those that have read available literature and want more than an introduction. Presentations are designed to not rehash regulations and guides, but instead aim to give attendees the context needed to develop an informed perspective for deciding how and where to take acquisition innovation next.

Learning Objectives:

  • Analyze the origins, the spirit, and the leadership that has shaped other transactions and their potential future;
  • Identify various authoritative sources to show how they come together in a minimum-regulation environment;
  • Explain key differences between other transactions and other authorities; and
  • Discuss strategies for developing new business models using commercial solutions openings as an example.
