This 5 part program covers the various issues pertaining to the Small Business Programs implemented through Federal contracting.  It covers the complex in government contracting rules that apply when of procurement is set-aside, in whole or in part, for small business; when a large contractor must subcontract with small buiness; and when a small business prime subcontracts with a large business.  The program also covers the unique requirements for compliance with the various small business rules. 

At the end of this program you will understand the opportunities and obligations created by the Small Business Act and subsequent statutes, plus strategies for taking advantage of these opportunities while meeting the obligations.  For large businesses you will have an appreciation of the small business issues you will have to address in your purchasing and supply chain management.

  • Learn about the contract formation issues unique to the small business contracting environment
  • Know how to use the special protest procedures when small businesses are involved
  • Understand the special set aside programs that create opportunities for large and small contractors

Who Should Attend:
This course is designed to benefit both government and contractor personnel as well as existing small businesses considering doing business with the Federal government and individuals thinking of creating a small business to do business with the Federal government.  Large businesses will also benefit from this course as we identify requirements to comply with the Small Business Act and pitfalls to be avoided in achieving their small business goals under Federal government contracts.
