Successfully Crafting and Prosecuting CDA Claims
November 20 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pmFree
In today’s tough fiscal environment – with tight budgets and oversight – it has become more challenging for contractors to obtain adequate monetary or schedule relief due to government changes, delays, etc. Having a strong command of the Contract Disputes Act (CDA) claim resolution process is critical to maximizing potential recovery under or arising from a government contract.
Designed for lawyers and contracting professionals, this course will focus on all facets of CDA claims: from identifying and preparing the claim to deciding the form a claim should take and when to submit it to choosing a forum to litigate a contracting officer’s denial of the claim to considering forms of alternative dispute resolution. Drawing from many years of experience, the instructors (Sandy Hoe of Covington & Burling LLP) will discuss the CDA claims resolution process, and offer practical advice critical to successfully establishing and prosecuting a CDA claim. Ultimately, by offering best practices, this course will leave participants well-versed in the CDA dispute resolution process, thereby increasing the potential for recovery.
