Financial Forum Webinar Series 2021

February 9, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

$1095

This webinar focuses on the various contract methods and types in the context of a bid protest, which is a formal challenge to the award of a government contract or to the solicitation for such a contract.  The presentation begins with an overview of bid protests and the purpose of filing a bid protest with the federal procuring agency, the U.S. Government Accountability Office, or the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.  Following the overview, the presentation will provide a primer on the different FAR contract methods and contract types that may be involved in the bid protest action.  The webinar will also discuss how certain contract methods and contract types may impact the availability of certain bid protest forums, when a bid protest must be filed, and whether any such claims can be brought in a forum at all.  Additionally, the presentation will provide important considerations for filing a bid protest, the most prevalent grounds for bid protests sustained in FY 2020, and recent and significant legal developments in the bid protest arena.
