It has been asked, “How many pages does the FAR have?” (Do you know?) It has been said the FAR has over 2,000 pages. But, if you asked the same question of NMCARS? You wont even get a “over 2,000 pages” type answer. You will more typically get an answer something akin to: “NMCARS can be quite extensive, often running into hundreds of pages.” Some quantification is available, NMCARS has 49 parts, and 24 Annexes (note: some parts and annexes are reserved, this count excludes those).
So, are we going to cover all of them? Well, our short answer is no. But we will VERY BRIEFLY summarize some areas by topic, and do a slightly deeper dive into a few of the areas. We will make our choices to try to give something to all of you for the “slightly deeper dives.”. Our intent is to hit a “core” which tie into the six different DoD Acquisition Pathways – hopefully, this covers (broadly) your areas of interest.
