ABCs of Performance Bonds

This course will cover the scope and coverage that performance bonds provide, the format of the bonds, the FAR(s) clauses that govern, and the various approaches and options that bonding companies follow when responding to the government’s performance bond demands. The role of the defaulted contractor will also be discussed. If time permits, performance bonds issued on behalf of subcontractors, where the prime contractor–as opposed to the government–is the beneficiary of the bond, will be covered.
