This session will explore how a contractor protects and preserves its intellectual property rights when dealing with the Government. Discussion will focus on when a contractor is entitled to restrict the Government’s use and disclosure of technical data and computer software and how those restrictions are implemented through a process of document, assert, and mark. We will also discuss markings directed to non-Governmental third parties.
