How familiar are we with all 24 FAR and non-FAR approaches to basic contracts? As industry, do we form a clear “picture” in our minds of what those 24 approaches mean to our organization, e.g., acquisition opportunity development or contracting for a subsequent win? On the Government side of the acquisition, are we aware of just how flexible the approaches are, but also aware of the risks that come with that flexibility? To help answer these questions and others, we provide a survey of 24 FAR and non-FAR based contract/agreement strategies and approaches.
