When working in federal contracting, many (if not most) prime contractors rely on subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to perform their contracts. This session will discuss the best practices for primes and higher-tier subs from teaming agreement through contract close-out.  Along the way, the session will address proposal development, subcontracts and purchase agreement, the ‘subcontractor versus vendor versus supplier’ debate, performance, invoicing and overhead, and subcontract close-out under the FAR and agency supplements.  The session will also discuss the treatment for grants under the Uniform Guidance, 2 CFR 200, as many private sector companies now find themselves pursuing grant opportunities.
