This course will cover the basics of what are Federal grants and how do entities get them. From there, we will explore the Uniform Guidance, or Super Circular, detailing each part and what each part of the Guidance regulates. The course will also examine the current Federal Grant compliance & enforcement environment and discuss case studies to review real life examples of what can go wrong for entities throughout the grant process. The course will conclude with a review of risk mitigation strategies that can be implemented to minimize the downside of becoming a federal grant recipient.
