Hands on NAICS Codes

During Aprils NAICS Codes and the FAR we discussed the how and why of NAICS codes in Government Contracting. However, actually selecting a NAICS code can be quite challenging in it’s own regard – as many as 25% of NAICS codes are improperly chosen. During this 75 minute program, Government Contracts Attorney and former Air Force Contracting Officer Matthew Keller will explain and the demonstrate the process of selecting the correct NAICS codes. The program will begin with a quick overview of the process, followed by several real and hypothetical practical examples on how to select a NAICS Code. At the end of this program, attendees will know:

• How both contracting officers and contractors use NAICS Codes

• How to accurately select a NAICS Code

• The forms and procedures used to submit information surrounding NAICS Codes
