This fast-paced, information packed session provides an overview and framework of Information Technology (IT) for public sector product and services suppliers including DoD and federal agencies and their suppliers.  Designed for inhouse counsel, compliance officers, CIOs, CISOs, and other IT leaders and implementers.  The overview will discuss the increasing government and customer information protection requirements and the different supplier IT scenarios including the contractors’ internal systems, systems operated on behalf of Federal agency, and agency owned and/or operated information system. This will include relevant statutory and regulatory basics, cyber-security requirements and best practices, what professionals need to know about the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications 800-53, 800-171, DFARS 7012, and CMMC 2.0 and other requirements such as cloud computing, covered defense information and relevant intellectual property issues.
